Portraits and Still Lifes 1983-1985
Alber's Still Lifes are investigations into color theory using traditional still life objects in the form of apples. The Color Portraits are a further investigation of these issues and include a Hofmann like exploration mapping color onto the human face. They are abstract yet portraits all the same.
